Our Spitfire Flights operate from Sywell Aerodrome in Northampton and from London Oxford Airport in Oxfordshire, giving two fantastic locations to choose from for your experience.
THE SPITFIRE
A name etched into history thanks to the heroic actions of 'The Few' young pilots holding off the numerically superior Luftwaffe during the height of the Battle of Britain in the early days of WWII.

A LEGEND IN HER OWN RIGHT
Supermarine Spitfire ML407, affectionately known as 'The Grace Spitfire', was originally built at Castle Bromwich in early 1944 as a Mark IX single seat fighter and served in the front line of battle throughout the last twelve months of World War II with six different allied Squadrons of the RAF’s 2nd Tactical Air Force.

ML407 flew a total of 176 operational combat sorties amassing an impressive total 319 combat hours. ML407 was delivered to 485 New Zealand Squadron on the 29th April 1944 by Jackie Moggridge, one of the top lady pilots of the Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA), where it became the ‘mount’ of Flying Officer Johnnie Houlton DFC who was accredited, whilst flying ML407, with the first enemy aircraft shot down over the Normandy beachhead on 6th June D-Day.

Relive your experience with incredible 360° in-flight video footage!

All of our two seat aircraft are now fitted with 360° GoPro cameras, capable of capturing mind-blowing footage of your experience!
​
Embracing this cutting edge technology means that most home devices are currently unable to play the raw movie file without additional apps, so each flight is uploaded by us to a private domain in YouTube, a free to use and readily available platform. Following your flight, you will be sent a unique link, so that the footage is only visible to you and anyone you choose to share it with. The raw video file is also available on request.

​If you're not sure whether to go for this option when you book your flight you can always wait until the day of your flight.. You will then be able to try a 360 video before you fly and make your decision then.
