25 Minute Mustang Flight from Sywell

Service Description

Experience an unforgettable flight in the P-51 Mustang, the famed American WWII fighter. Built too late to see combat service in World War Two, P-51D 44-84847 was one of the last Mustangs constructed at North American Aviation’s Dallas, Texas, plant. Details of her post war service career are limited, but there is photographic evidence, from September 1951, of her serving with the 45th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron at Kimpo, South Korea, during the Korean War. By late 1951 the 45th TRS were replacing their aging Mustangs with RF-80 Shooting Star jets, and so 44-84847 was shipped back the US to serve with the Air National Guard until around 1956. Around this time she slips off the radar until January 1999 when she re-appears in North Dakota as a restoration project. The airframe moved to Chino, California for a full restoration with the decision made to modify her to two-seat TF-51D configuration. Cancellation Policy

SPITFIRE / MUSTANG / BUCHON Should you wish to cancel your experience, please call us on 01604 624 058 as soon as possible. Each situation is treated on a case by case basis; however, should the flight be cancelled by you, with no valid reason, less than 14 days before the flight and not rebooked, an admin fee will apply. Should the flight be cancelled by us due to unacceptable weather, serviceability or other unforeseen circumstance (e.g. COVID 19) and you do not wish to rebook, a full refund less the 10% booking fee will be available 3 working days after the cancellation. Should the passenger arrive on the day and we cannot fly them due to an undeclared health issue or incorrect measurements on the Health and Statistics form, an admin fee will be retained. All prices include VAT and invoices will be provided at the appropriate time for payment. There is the option of transferring your ticket to someone else providing they fit the health criteria. This can be done at anytime up to 1 week prior to booked date of your experience and is free of charge, please notify us of the new passenger and their contact details as soon as possible. Onward sale of tickets for profit or gain is not permitted and if suspected, the ticket will be cancelled, and no refund will be given. It is not possible to auction your ticket for charitable purposes. TIGER MOTH If your flight is cancelled by you more than two weeks before the flight, a full refund less a 10% admin fee will be provided. If less than two weeks before with no valid reason, no refund is given. Full T&Cs available on request.
